State Student Group Scores
In 2019, Hispanic fourth-graders scored higher nationally and in three states compared to 2017. Among other racial/ethnic groups, while national average scores for Black fourth-grade students were not significantly different compared to 2017, scores were higher in two states, both of which had overall average score increases in 2019.
