Lower fourth-grade reading scores in nine TUDA districts compared to 2019
When comparing Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) average scores in reading for grade 4 public school students in 2022 with those from 2019, the previous assessment year,
- 9 districts scored lower; and
- 17 districts showed no significant change in scores.
Of the nine TUDA districts that scored lower in 2022 than in 2019, four districts scored lower than the large city average score, one district had an average score that was higher than the large city average score, and four districts had an average score that was not significantly different from the large city average score.

Score decreases in reading at grade 4 ranged from 6 to 16 points for the nine districts that scored lower in 2022 compared to 2019.
