Lower fourth-grade reading scores in three TUDA districts compared to 2017

When comparing Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) average scores in reading for grade 4 public school students in 2019 with those from 2017, the previous assessment year,

  • 3 districts scored lower, and
  • 24 districts showed no significant change in scores.

Of the three TUDA districts that scored lower in 2019 compared to 2017, one district scored lower than the large city average score, one district had an average score that was higher than the large city average score, and one district had an average score that was not significantly different from the large city average score.
