All but 1 percent of fourth-graders had teachers who reported using maps and globes as a part of geography instruction, while approximately one-quarter of students had teachers who reported never or hardly ever studying other countries and cultures (26 percent), space and place (25 percent), and spatial dynamics and connections (25 percent).
NOTE: Detail may not sum to totals because of rounding. Some apparent differences between estimates may not be statistically significant. See complete data for the following: using maps and globes, natural resources, other countries and cultures, environmental issues, space and place, spatial dynamics and connections.
