In the fourth grade, 17 percent of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch through the National School Lunch Program used a computer to build and practice vocabulary every day or almost every day, with 34 percent doing so once or twice a week. These percentages are higher than in 2009.
In addition, in both 2009 and 2011, the percentages of eligible students using a computer to build vocabulary every day or almost every day and once or twice a week were higher than the respective percentages for their non-eligible peers.
