Activities with Computers

 

As part of the 2010 geography assessment, fourth-, eighth-, and twelfth-graders were asked about their computer use in school as part of geography instruction. The percentages of students who responded in each category are shown below.

Grade 4
Grade 8
Grade 12

Approximately 50 percent of eighth-graders reported using geographic information systems to create or use maps.
