Percentile Rankings by Urban District

District percentile rankings vary by demographic groups.

Percentile ranks provide a comparative view of student performance at higher, middle, and lower levels on the NAEP science scale. The figures below display the national percentile ranking of the TUDA districts and their subgroups, as well as that of the comparable groups in the nation and in large central cities. For example, fourth-grade Black students in Austin who scored at the 29th percentile performed as well as or better than 29 percent of all students nationwide, including their Black counterparts in large central cities who scored at the 21st percentile.
