Students With Disabilities Make Gains at Grades 4 and 8

  • Fourth-grade students with disabilities (SD) who could be assessed had a higher average score in 2005 than in previous assessment years, and a higher percentage performed at or above Basic in 2005 than in 2000.
  • Eighth-grade students with disabilities who could be assessed had a higher average score in 2005 than in 1996.
  • Twelfth-grade students with disabilities who could be assessed had an average score in 2005 that was not significantly different than in previous assessment years.
