Geography Topics

 

As part of the 2010 geography assessment, twelfth-graders were asked to indicate the frequency in which they studied various geography skills and topics in school. The percentages of students who responded in each category are below.

Grade 4
Grade 8
Grade 12

About 54 percent of twelfth-graders reported using maps and globes as part of studying geography, while about 16 percent reported never or hardly ever studying other countries and cultures.
