Results Comparable to Large Central Cities

  • At both grades, the percentages of students performing at or above the Basic level in one-half of the districts were higher than, or not significantly different from, the percentage in large central city schools.
  • At both grades, all the participating districts had lower percentages of students performing at or above Basic, and all the districts, except Austin, had lower percentages at or above Proficient when compared to public schools nationally.
