As part of the 2011 science assessment, teachers of eighth-graders were asked about the amount of time students spent working on science activities. The full text of the question and the percentage of students for each response category are below.

D. Every day or almost every day

In 2011, a lower percentage of Black students had teachers who asked them to work with other students on a science activity or project once a week or more compared to their White and Hispanic peers.
