Classroom Context: Time Spent on Science Instruction
As part of the 2009 science assessment, teachers of fourth- and eighth-graders were asked about the amount of time spent on science instruction. The full text of the question, percentage of students whose teachers responded in each category, and scale scores of students for each response category are below.

Approximately 80 percent of teachers of fourth-grade students reported that they spent at least two hours a week on science instruction.
